In one moment, I was changed forever
I knew what I was meant for
I knew my purpose
I dont fully understand
What it all means
I want to scream it at the top of my lungs
But I know not how...
How can one do such a thing?
Is this my fate?
I fear that it is...
I was put here for one purpose
I hope to God
That I am wrong
But I fear that I am not...
It is deep in my gut
Where it lives
One day you are fine
And then there it is

It starts out small
Just a prick in your stomach
Nothing but a tingle in your spine
But as time passes
The THING grows
Like an cancer
It spreads throughout you
Digging into you
Spreading it's sharp spines
It grows it roots deep within
It's veins wrap tightly around you.
You can really feel it now

Like a parasite
It begins to take control
Of your mind, your body
And your soul
Others may see it, but they cannot help
Like quicksand, the more you fight it
The faster you sink
This THING envelopes your whole self
Until you recognize nothing

This thing all things devours
There is no escaping it.
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
It's in your dreams, in your mind
This THING eats away at you.
Like a virus
You change to meet its needs
Together, you become one

This THING craves but one other
To meet another and join with them
If you are so fortunate
This THING becomes
A blessing
The one thing we all crave in the world

But alone...
This THING destroys you
It will starve your body
And rot your mind
The parasite slowly killing its host
Alone...the THING destroys you
Fighting it only strengthens the THING
One is hopless in it's grasp
And eventually
Without the other
Both the host and parasite
Will fester and die

A human's greatest fear
Is to be perpetually alone
Forever
Together, we are able to make memories
Share, and Feel
We as humans crave LOVE just as we crave water
LOVE is basic
It's primal instinct is to grow.
To blossom and bloom


Together, with another's mutual love
This THING becomes that which all humans
Strive

Alone
It spreads like cancer
Ending only in tradgedy

How many have felt the sting of love
in every synapse of your brain?
How many have allowed LOVE to wrap you in it's warm embrace?
How many have seen love blossom with
the live giving LOVE of another?
And how many have felt LOVE envelope you?
How many have felt LOVE begin to break you down and rot?
How many have been destroyed by LOVE?  
Forced to feel mankinds deepest, darkest fear?
How many have found true happiness, while others fester
In the dark?

LOVE is both the nectar and the poison of life.  
Let it not harm you
But instead
Allow LOVE to bring you the life you've imagined
Nurture LOVE when you know it needs nurturing
And shun it when you know it means to harm you.

LOVE can either shine down on you like the sun.
Or it can bury you in the coffin of despair
In the end...
LOVE will conquer us all
But you make the decision as to how you are conquered.
